Rhythmic Forms (B+W) was painted in response to the political climate and the often ridiculous posts on social media that paint these difficult times in black and white. I decided to try the recent technique I’ve been working with in shades of grey. Even with the reduction of palette, I find the kinds of intersections of belonging that the circles simultaneously inhabit to be complex and fascinating.
