Nested Infographics continues a play with bar graphs and pie charts that began with Some Graphs a couple of years ago. What has developed here is an intensification of forcing the eye to engage a myriad of geometric forms which form the architecture of the composition and the representation of the info graphics. I find it difficult to prioritize any of the geometric forms over the others in this work – I hope your eye, like mine, roams over the image in order to grasp the space. On a level of representation, I want to state the somewhat obvious, however, I feel the need to stress that when phenomena are captured and presented in a set, as info graphics are intended to do, they are always brutally abstracted in the process. I simply want bring to life a sense that there are also phenomena that surround or define a concept, form or problem, so to speak, that can be found to be beautiful.
