Dude at a Concert is a series of watercolour studies I made to explore the gestures or body language of men enjoying a spectacle. I was particularly attracted to images of young men presenting themselves for the camera in a context where they are not the centre of attention. There is something oddly liberated, and at times uncomfortable, about the range of expressions that are visible across the different sketches.
