Brutalist Earth is a work in which I am happy to be reducing the presence of the matrix of circles while continuing to feature them as abstracted. I also have attempted to close the sense of space in this work, as I was imagining what it would be like to be warmly and wetly buried in the earth yet able to roam freely. I am working smaller for several reasons: I want to try more ideas quickly; I like this scale for a small space such as an apartment; I want to create spaces that seem enormous even on small canvases.
